AUTHOR'S NOTE:   This story took me longer than expected, especially on figuring out how it would end but alas, I made it. Thanks to a friend that suggested a story about a soy behind enemy lines, it gave birth to this tale of revenge from a man who worked for the Empire. There is also the battle report for  Operation Thunder Spear  which details the events mentioned in the story. Anyhow, enjoy your reading lads and lasses! Please leave a comment if you do enjoy this! ~Ryan Cay Battle of Ghurka, 2337

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I am quite proud of this short story even though it is bordering the size of a novellete (a mini novella). Set in the Tenebrine War, a fictional conflict between the Tenebrine Alliance and the Urmanean Empire that is reminiscent of World War 1.  Our Final Glory  tells the tale of Captain Marcus Hawken III in his efforts to push back the Imperial advance at St. Tunworth. I hope you  find yourselves enjoying the short story as I shall be writing more set in the same universe. Let me know what you think of it as well! Happy reading folks.

With the king as its ruler, the Sovereignty is a pseudo-monarchy with a cabinet of ministers assisting the king in governing the country. The current king (by 1 January 2341) is King Gregory IX of House Drakhai with his son; Prince Jonathan is in line to succeeding the nation. Taking the skull of a dragon as its coat of arms upon a field of red, it represents the Sovereignty’s undying will to s...
